Fire department

Wednesday, June 28

2:30 p.m. Call in regard to a lightning strike at the Golden Eagle Oil Field.

7:44 p.m. Report of a power pole fire in the 900 block of Arapahoe.

Friday, June 30

11:14 a.m. Report of an accident at the mouth of the Wind River Canyon. There was no accident at the location.

Saturday, July 1

9:07 p.m. Report of smoke on a roof at 5th and Park. The smoke was caused by fireworks.

Sheriff’s office

Wednesday, June 28

9:31 a.m. Complaint in Red Lane regarding a sign that was bent over and the possibility a head gate was messed with. There were no witnesses to the incidents.

Thursday, June 29

12:58 p.m. Complaint regarding a vehicle speeding and passing others in town, and the driver talking on the phone. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

5:05 p.m. Request for motorist assist at mile marker 30 on Highway 120 for a vehicle pulled over with its flashers on.

6:12 p.m. Report of an accident between a vehicle and a deer at mile marker 6 on Highway 120. The deer survived and there was minor damage to the vehicle.

8:23 p.m. Caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the state park which had a plate from one state on the front and a plate from a different state on the rear. The call was unfounded.

8:56 p.m. Complaint received about a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and passing on double yellow near mile marker 128 on Highway 20 South. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was warned.

Tuesday, June 27

7:25 a.m. Report of suspicious activity involving a subject getting out of one car and into another. It was discovered the car was having battery trouble.

10:30 a.m. A dog at large was picked up and impounded.

1:47 p.m. Officer responded to an accident in which a vehicle backed into a business sign.

2:33 p.m. A tent had blown over during a wind storm, but an officer was able to retrieve it.

3:23 p.m. Earnest (Don) Reynolds was arrested on a warrant for alleged failure to appear.

3:36 p.m. A tree was reported down on 12th street. The matter was handled by the town shop.

5:08 p.m. A missing dog was reported. There was no information as to whether the animal was found.

7:54 p.m. A civil standby was provided while a subject picked up property and animals.

8:07 p.m. Reporting party picked up two dogs and planned to keep them until the owner was contacted.

8:18 p.m. Report of fireworks in the 100 block of Clark.

9:57 p.m. Contact made with a male subject who said he planned to pick up a female subject in his vehicle, but he had been drinking and felt it was safer to walk.

10:07 p.m. Report of a female subject who was trying to pack a horse trailer but was being loud. The subject was contacted and told to finish up for the night.

Wednesday, June 28

1:47 p.m. Deputy responded to a call regarding an accident in Fremont County. The call was further relayed to Wyoming Highway Patrol.

2:43 p.m. A 55 gallon drum was removed from the railroad track on Broadway.

2:50 p.m. Subject thought someone had attempted to break into a shed. The call was unfounded.

5:02 p.m. Call regarding an accident in which a trailer, blown by the wind, smashed into the rear of the fire hall.

5:05 p.m. Driver reported a red Volvo would not let him pass and the driver made an obscene gesture. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

Thursday, June 29

7:41 a.m. Report of a small lost dog. The animal was not located.

8:10 a.m. Report of a red SUV on the side of the highway, and the driver possibly needing assistance. The matter was relayed to Wyoming Highway Patrol.

10 a.m. Complainant reported seeing a female subject leaving a dog tied up and juveniles on a corner, then walking away. When the officer arrived, there were no subjects located in the area.

11 a.m. REDDI report on a vehicle at 6th and Broadway. Vehicle could not be located.

12:58 p.m. Caller reported a traffic offense. The suspect vehicle could not be located.

1 p.m. Civil standby provided while a subject retrieved property.

3:11 p.m. Report of an intoxicated subject at a business. The subject was not intoxicated, but was frustrated and cursing.

5:15 p.m. Two dogs were picked up and impounded.
