On the Record policy

It is the Independent Record’s policy that all people arrested or cited under the “Accidents,” “Sheriff’s office” or “Police department” in the On the Record section are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday, February 28

1:41 p.m. Report of shoplifting from a business south of town. The incident is under investigation.

7:58 p.m. An accident occurred at Southside Travel Center, when a vehicle driven by Bobey Pearson of Manitoba, Canada struck a pump and barrier at the station.

8:53 p.m. Report of a vehicle parked on Highway 20 North which seemed odd. Nobody in the vicinity owned the vehicle.

Friday, March 3

8:22 p.m. A male subject was seen walking south of town. There was no information as to whether he was picked up.

9:40 p.m. Report of an assault in Hot Springs State Park involving several juveniles. The incident is under investigation.

Saturday, March 4

11:14 p.m. Report of a black cow on Highway 20 North. The owner was able to get the animal in before the deputy arrived.

Monday, March 6

10:12 a.m. Request from the Department of Corrections to transport a juvenile male to the Wyoming Boys School.

12:18 p.m. Complainant reported another party was using her dumpster. The matter was deemed civil.

8:54 p.m. Deputy responded to mile marker 125 on Highway 20 North to assist the Wyoming Highway Patrol. Autumn Boyle and Tyler Asay were arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance. Ian Sturgeon was arrested for alleged felon in possession of a firearm.

Tuesday, February 28

9:48 a.m. Subject wanted another party trespassed. The matter was deemed civil.

10:59 a.m. Three dogs reported at large. Two were impounded and one was found by its owner. All three owners were cited.

1:12 p.m. Two vehicles were left on private property. One was moved and the other was marked for towing.

1:31 p.m. Report of a dog at large. The animal could not be located.

7:29 p.m. Traffic complaint, though a suspect vehicle was not located.

Wednesday, March 1

10:46 p.m. A vehicle was egged. No suspect has been located, but as a result of interviews a trespass notice was issued.

11:52 p.m. REDDI report, though no suspect vehicle was found.

Thursday, March 2

6:52 a.m. A black leather wallet was found and returned to its owner.

12:41 p.m. A vehicle was parked and obstructing a view. The owner was contacted and moved the vehicle.

4 p.m. Report of a vehicle struck, though the owner was unsure when it occurred.

5:03 p.m. Citizens were in a dispute over a card game. Subjects involved agreed to stay clear of one another.

7:09 p.m. A male subject was unable to find his wife. The woman was located by an officer.

Friday, March 3

10:19 a.m. Traffic complaint, though no suspect vehicle was located.

12:04 p.m. An attempt was made to locate a subject, though the subject was not located.

3 p.m. Report of a noise complaint. The call was unfounded.

Saturday, March 4

2:56 a.m. Report of a subject who was drinking and wanted to drive. The situation was diffused, and the subject’s keys were taken from him.

11:32 a.m. Report of kids driving dangerously. A suspect vehicle was not located.

8:15 p.m. Dog at large was impounded. The owner paid impound fees and was cited.

11:57 p.m. REDDI report, though no suspect vehicle was found.

Sunday, March 5

12:17 a.m. A traffic stop resulted in Krista Raymond being arrested for alleged driving under the influence.

8:33 p.m. Report of a barking dog. An officer put the dog inside the house, with the owner’s permission.

11:51 p.m. A subject initially reported missing was found.

Monday, March 6

10:51 a.m. A lost dog was found and returned to its owner.

12:29 p.m. A subject left a vehicle on a property, and it was marked for towing.

Daniel Simpson and Chellidy Luers, both of Thermopolis.

Circuit court

Michael Ramsey was found guilty of driving under the influence and was sentenced to 10 days in jail with nine days suspension of six months unsupervised probation. Fees and fines are $740.

Births

Anthony William Konnar Taylor was born Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Witni and Trace Taylor of Wyoming.

He weighed 5 pounds, 4 ounces, and was 17.75 inches long.

Grandparents are Henry and Amy Peden and Bobbi Tyalor and Chris Taylor, all of Wyoming.

Carson Reid Ennis was born Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital to Breanna and Andrew Ennis of Wyoming.

He weighed 7 pounds, 2 ounces, and was 19.5 inches long.

Grandparents are Randy Palu, Michelle Palu and Robert and Kim Ennis, all of Wyoming.
