Runners make impressive showing on Billings course

The Thermopolis Cross Country were on the road at Billings Friday, and returned with a first place win for McKenna Bomengen on the JV team, coming in at 20:57. Jules Ward claimed second place on the Varsity team, with a time of 18:18, and Tahja Hunt won third place for JV, at 21:47.

Coach Brenna Abel stated, “Kids ran well in Billings; we had some great performances. Kids have been training hard.” Abel also noted the Billings course is a flat, fast course, and a great Montana competition for the team. The course is three miles, compared to a true 5K — or 3.1 miles.
