Using the law as a way to entrap Christians

April you may be right, Judge Neely may not be exempt from the law. Nothing new under the sun. For centuries God’s people have faced terrible persecution for choosing to obey God not man. I admire Judge Neely, and pray she stands fast, because she is right in her conviction.

I cannot help by mention the story of Daniel in God’s Word. You see Daniel found himself in exactly the same situation as Judge Neely. Daniel was the first of three presidents under King Darius, in Babylon. The other presidents hated Daniel and conspired to find fault with him. They could not, so they tricked King Darius into signing a LAW that anyone praying to anyone except King Darius would be thrown to the Lions. Of course Daniel being faithful to God refused to comply. Now Daniel was not above the Law, nor his friend King Darius, so he was thrown in with the Lions. Daniel was not alone in the lion’s den because GOD was with him, and those lions laid down like kittens never touching Daniel.

I am disappointed that some in America, and Wyoming, seem to be using the law as a way to entrap Christians. If same sex couples want to marry, they could easily find a judge who could perform that in good conscience, instead they seek out a Christian to force into submission.

Now I want to finish the story of Daniel in the lion’s den. Please do not misunderstand and think I am meaning any ill on anyone. I am just telling you the rest of the true story in the WORD OF GOD. So Daniel was untouched by the lions, and King Darius was very happy the next morning to find God had protected Daniel, his friend. So when King Darius realized he had been tricked into this thing he was very upset. So we all probably know, who the lions ate and it was not Daniel.

In this present world, Christians are killed daily, some beheaded by Islamic terrorists for simply refusing to deny Christ. It seems that God does not deliver them as miraculously as he did Daniel, nor does God’s judgment fall so swiftly. Be assured that God will not forget, as He has a long memory.

So April, know that I will do as Jesus told me to do, I will love people, forgive people and pray for people. That includes Judge Neely, and you. I will leave the results to God.

Love in Christ
