Carnival promises loads of fun

The cold weather may greatly be limiting possibilities for outdoor weekend activities, but the Hot Springs County 4-H is planning an indoor carnival to not only raise money but also provide community members an afternoon of fun.

The carnival will take place on Sunday, Jan. 24 from 3-6 p.m. in the Thermopolis Middle School gym and commons, The event is open to the public.

Featured will be five inflatables and 16 carnival games. Among the inflatable attractions are a bounce house, sumo wrestling and an obstacle course. The carnival games feature attractions such as a cake walk, hoop zone, Peyton’s pass, Nerf bullseye spin art and more.

Winners of carnival games will win either an A, B or C prize, with C being candy and A and B being toys. Everyone is a winner.

Concessions will be offered as well, including cotton candy, funnel cakes, hot dogs and nachos. Drinks will also be available.

Tickets for the event are four for $1, and wristbands will be $20. Each one of the games and infalatables costs a certain number of tickets, however if a wristband is purchased, all rides and games will be available without the purchase of tickets. Admission is free.

This is the third year of the 4-H Carnival. The money raised goes toward helping local 4-H members attend workshops and camps as well as purchasing equipment.
