Hot Spot Car Show hits town

Set aside this weekend to attend the Annual Hot Spot Car Rally in Hot Springs State Park.

For more than 20 years the rally has brought in classic and antique cars as well as trucks and other vehicles sure to take you back in time and make your heart race a little faster.

On Saturday, June 20, early registration will be held for the poker run at 8 a.m. at the Kiwanis shelter in the park. The poker run will run from 10 a.m. til 4 p.m.

After the run, the cars will all parade from the park, drive down Sixth Street to Thermop Rehabilitation and Care Center, then back through town to the park.

Sunday, Father’s Day, is the show and shine with registration starting at 7:30 a.m.

The show will run from 9 a.m. til 3 p.m. with visitors given the chance to vote for their favorites.

There will be music and various vendors with food and drinks to enjoy while you peruse the cars.

Awards in each of the divisions will be given out at 3 p.m.

Everyone has a chance to win though, with three pedal cars that will be raffled off during the awards ceremony.

Tickets for the pedal cars are available now from Thermopolis Café and Finishing Touches and will be available the day of the show. Tickets are $5 each or three for $10.
