    Glenn Dunbach, a retired science teacher of 41 years, is collaborating with the community to raise funds to donate new coats to students in need.     The Bureau of Reclamation has reopened the access road to the Anchor Reservoir Campground. The road was badly damaged by flood waters at the Owl Creek Middle Fork crossing on June 12. The crossing was temporarily impassable to vehicular traffic, and repairs were recently completed. Anchor Dam and Reservoir are features of the Owl Creek Unit in Hot Springs County, approximately 35 miles west of Thermopolis via highways 120 and 170.   • Gooseberry Badlands Trail

    Construction is underway at the Gooseberry Badlands Scenic Overlook Trail northwest west of Thermopolis. The trail remains open, but be mindful of equipment and frequently changing signage to guide you in and out safely. The crew is currently working on the parking area, the upper ADA portion of the trail and the access road, with construction on the lower trail scheduled for mid-September. Keep an eye out for possible temporary closures at that time....
