    At the June 6 Hot Springs County Commissioners board meeting, Chairman Tom Ryan held a public hearing regarding the Burrows Land Use Change application. Derrick Burrows has requested a land use change from the Agricultural land use category to the Commercial land use category, for 8.2 acres, to allow a 12-unit tent (teepee) campground.     The 30th annual Hot Spot Car Rally is coming to Hot Springs State Park (HSSP) this weekend. There will be a cruise-in held on Friday, June 16 evening from 4-7 p.m. Participants are asked to meet at the Kiwanis Shelter in HSSP.     Tamara Tippets Lockhart passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 3, 2023, surrounded by her three daughters, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. She caught a cold earlier in the week and by Thursday it had developed into pneumonia. Her passing was quick, tender and pain free. HSCHS 2023 graduate Roedy Farrell was runner up in the bareback riding event with a first go score of 75 and a second go score of 70 for a total of 218, putting him just behind first place Tuker Carricato of Saratoga who had a total score of 226.
